JONES OUT ON LOAN, SCOTCHER DEPARTS

Barry Town United can confirm two departures this week, as the club continues to preprare for Phase Two.

After making the move from Welsh League Division One outfit Cambrian & Clydach in the summer, 19-year old midfielder Sam Jones will return to his former club on loan for the remainder of the 2017-18 season.

Jones, who made his Barry Town debut as a substitute in August's season opener against Aberystwyth, has appeared primarily from the bench thus far, including minutes in the thrilling 1-0 win at TNS in November.

Town manager Gavin Chesterfield believes that a run of first team football at Cambrian will serve Jones well and will be monitoring his development, having moved to sign the youngster to a contract at Jenner Park.

Midfielder Elliot Scotcher meanwhile departs for Haverfordwest County, a club much closer to home for the Pembrokeshire midfielder, who made his first start at Caernarfon in December after recovering from injury.

The club would like to extend its thanks to both Sam and Elliot for their efforts and commitment this season.
